This year we celebrate 25 years of Theatre here in Bowness.
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Alan Ayckbourn’s light-hearted, fun musical BY JEEVES is the highlight of the season, opening on Friday 6 October for 4 weeks. It is a rare opportunity to see Alan Ayckbourn’s revival of this jocular musical and the production will bring together the original creative team from 1996 including Director Alan Ayckbourn, Set Designer Roger Glossop and Choreographer Sheila Carter.
The show is the BIGGEST ever produced at The Old Laundry, and with a cast of 10 and live band of 6 it really will be a fitting celebration for our 25th – from
Broadway to Bowness!
Introducing our Jeeves and Wooster…
Bill Champion will pay the titular role of the faithful and long suffering manservant, Jeeves
Nadim Naaman will play loveable chump and bachelor Bertie Wooster.
So please book your tickets and support our theatre. There are lots of ticket options from previews, matinees and concessions to dine out deals, plus a chance to hear Alan Ayckbourn talk about his production. Come and enjoy the dottiness of the original PJ Wodehouse stories, brought to life with a cast of colourful characters,
including Bertie Wooster with his unquenchable optimism and his wonderfully supercilious butler Jeeves,
renowned for his deadpan digs as they battle to salvage love and cover up embarrassing errors, causing confusion and mayhem galore!
We have lots of other great events lined up for the autumn too and we look forward to welcoming you.
