Book Now An Audience with Peter Gibbs

Thursday 4 April at 7:30 pm

Meteorologist and broadcaster Peter Gibbs has spent more than 30 years as a front line forecaster with the UK’s Met Office and as one of the BBC national weather presenting team.

Peter co-chairs the iconic Radio 4 show ‘Gardeners’ Question Time’ (reputed to be the longest-running radio show in the world!) and is a regular reporter on the Radio 4 environment series ‘Costing the Earth’.

His first job as a meteorologist was running the weather observation programme at the British Antarctic Survey’s remote Halley research station in Antarctica in the early 1980s. He returned to Antarctica in 2016 to report on the global importance of the science programme at Halley for the BBC’s flagship science show ‘Horizon’.

Hear him in conversation with Old Laundry Trustee, playwright and broadcaster Paul Allen.

A Rotary Club of Windermere charity event.
