Exciting news in the Lake District! Mr (Ewan) McGregor finally caught up with naughty Peter Rabbit at the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and Old Laundry Theatre in Bowness. Meeting a Hollywood A-lister and Jedi Master, however, didn’t faze Peter Rabbit who is known for getting the better of Mr McGregor in real life, on stage and on screen.
The lovely Ewan McGregor OBE is known as one of the most influential men in film, television and theatre who also played Norman Warne in the famous Miss Potter film; so we were thrilled that he not only visited the Attraction but took a VIP seat in the Old Laundry Theatre for the Happy Birthday Peter Rabbit show which is running all summer. After the show he left the theatre with a hop, skip and jump, congratulating the cast & creative team on a thoroughly brilliant, professional & enjoyable production which would see him singing the original songs all the way home.
We love welcoming celebrities to the Attraction and Theatre but to have a real-life jedi hero who is also a bona fide Scottish Mr McGregor was an extra special treat!
