Super sleuth Sherlock will open much awaited Theatre Season!

Headlining the season in the main theatre this summer is the Bowness Theatre Festival’s professional production of Sherlock’s Last Case, written by Charles Marowitz.  Starting on Thursday 20 August and running for three weeks, this black comedy picks up where the famous stories end, and embraces the super-brain sleuth Sherlock we all know and love and his famously contemptuous relationship with the faithful Doctor Watson.

Julian Forsyth, currently performing in the West End in the Woman in Black will play the starring alongside a fantastic cast including Veronica Roberts as Mrs Hudson and Barry McCarthy as Dr Watson.  Julian will be hot-footing it from Euston to arrive in Bowness in time for rehearsals and promises a show with twists and turns and plenty of humour.  To make this summertime theatre even more enjoyable, the theatre are offering some fantastic value ‘dine-out’ ticket offers in the all new theatre Bistro, to relax and enjoy good food before the show.

As Alan Rickman, celebrity Trustee of the Theatre says: “A terrific new season at the Old Laundry – run to to the box office!”  – We couldn’t agree more!
